We’re 14 floors up with a lovely view of the city. MacWorld tomorrow. Mary slept the whole flight so Julie and I split the headphones and watched a movie on the iPod. Spent all day yesterday waiting on doctors to check out Mary’s cough and crud. She has some virus called RSV and she’s not feeling well at all, but they cleared us to fly. Children’s Tylenol is a good thing.

Mary had her first haircut today. No pain, no screaming, no fussiness at all. She just sat quietly and paid close attention to what was going on. The folks at the kid-centric salon were great – very friendly and patient. Pix are in the Emi album.

It’s been a week of no sleep here – Mary has croup and her coughing wakes her up at night. That means that sleep has again become a precious commodity in this house. Julie is down for a nap at the moment so I’m taking advantage of some TiVo’d Wiggles to catch up on some feed reading and blogging.
What else has been going on this week:
Picked up a new iPod last night, a 30GB video model. I fondled one a few weeks ago at a computer shop and had to have it – it’s so thin and light, and the front is so sleek and glass-like. Oooooh. The color screen is gorgeous, of course. Video is nice but the pictures feature is much more useful for me. I like showing off the latest Emi pix and the iPod makes is very easy. I’ve been using the Treo but the iPod is much simpler and the screen seems sharper (I know it’s not really sharper but it appears that way). I’m sure the video functions will come in handy for showing off the few movies we have of Emi but without an external speaker, it’s not great for sharing video on-the-fly with folks. You really need a TV around to plug into. My old 20GB 4G model went to a nice home, btw.
